Check-In:  Saturday, April 6, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 7, 7:00 – 8:30 a.m.Start Time: 10 a.m.  Show order – Heifers, Showmanship, Market Animals

Online entries only: via the Showman App

  • Pre-entry fee of $35/head if entered by April 1. Late entry fees increase to $45/head.
  • No refunds or credit for entry fees.

Show entries will be allowed on the grounds starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6 and must be in place by 8:30 a.m. on April 7.
Exhibitors are expected to bring (and remove) their own bedding.  Generators are encouraged but are not allowed in the barn or show ring.
Exhibitor meal Saturday evening in the 4-H Building.                                                                                              

Breeding Animal Class information:

  • Heifer classes are broken by breed and age.
  • Heifers must be born on or after August 1, 2022.
  • Breed classes may include: Angus, Balancer, Chianina, Charolais, Composite Charolais, Gelbvieh, Horned Hereford, Polled Hereford, Limousin, LimFlex, Maine Anjou, Maintainer, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Shorthorn Plus, Simmental, Percentage Simmental, Commercial
    • Additional breed classes may be added at the committee’s discretion.

Market Animal Class information:

  • Market classes are broken by breed and weight.
  • Market animals must be born on or after January 1, 2023.
  • Breed classes may include: Angus, Charolais, Chianina, Hereford, Limousin, Maine Anjou, Maintainer, Red Angus, Shorthorn, Shorthorn Plus, Simmental, Crossbred, Market Heifer
    • Additional breed classes may be added at the committee’s discretion.

 

Showmanship:

  • Showmanship ages: Pewee: 0-6, Junior: 7-9, Intermediate 10-13, Senior 14 and older.
  • All ages as of 1/1/2024

Payouts for top five breeding heifers and market animals:

  • Grand – $750
  • Reserve – $250
  • Third – $150
  • Fourth – $100
  • Fifth – $75

Prizes will be awarded for breed Champion and Reserve Champion, Top 5 Breeding and Market Animals, and Top 5 in each Showmanship division.  There is also payback in each class.
